Music Lessons in Baltimore
Baltimore is a large port city on the East Coast that is rich with history and has the feel of a large group of neighborhoods rather than a huge, bustling city. In its early history, which goes back to the early 18th Century, Baltimore was known for being a port that specialized in manufacturing and brought in many of the nation’s early immigrants. During the War of 1812 in Baltimore, local lawyer Francis Scott Key wrote a poem called “The Star-Spangled Banner” that would be put to music and become our nation’s official national anthem a century later. Baltimore’s rich and iconic history and its ever-changing cultural landscape have always had music entrenched within. Baltimore’s musical landscape includes classical, country, rock, rhythm and blues, hip-hop, rock and roll, and acoustic, and offers many different types of lessons to its residents.
