My name is Marsha. In November, after having spent the past twenty-five years living and working in New York City, I returned to Pennsylvania. During those twenty-five years, I worked as a teacher, a recording artist, a composer, arranger, performer and bandleader, and have authored several children’s books. I studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA earning a Bachelor in Music in Jazz Saxophone, and have an MA in Music Education from The Aaron Copland School of Music, CUNY, Queens College, NY. I have performed with various groups through the years in styles including: Jazz, Latin, Big Band, Merengue, Blues and Classical. I’ve been honored to share the stage with legendary musicians such as Grover Washington, Jonathan Blake, Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer and John Stubblefield. I made a guest appearance on the David Letterman Show. In recent years, I recorded two CD’s of my original music: “One Night” and “Diggin’ the Day.” I love to teach any age to bring out the star in everyone. I will curtail my lessons to each individuals needs. Thank you for reading my blurb.
